The Powerful Father

“Fathers are like gold. God gives them to us in unrefined state. We all have to help them to be the refined gold.”
The refined father is not only made by the man. Either society, under the influence of culture, molds a father or they do so under the influence of Christ.
Today, we celebrate all men for their indispensable role in our lives. Here are 5 things about the powerful father.
#1. He Must Be Like Christ
Godly Fathers are very powerful because Christ was powerful in the sense of humility and boldness. Thus, a powerful father is both humble and bold.
#2. He Must Be Like Mandela
Powerful fathers are leaders at home. They don’t hold an elected position at home but a God-given responsibility to shepherd the family in the things of God. Just as Mandela led responsibly, that’s how men must lead.
#3. He Must Be Like Funny Face
Powerful Fathers are human. They are not stiff and moody. They make the home come alive. They cause laughter and smiles on the faces of the mother and the children. Just as Funny Face of Ghana makes us laugh, that’s how fathers must do.

“Christ was powerful in the sense of humility and boldness.”

#4. He Must Be Like Mohammed Ali
The home has one Mohammed Ali and it is the father. He takes risks, make moves, fight tough battles, and play his cards well to win big matches on the field of life. The children see him as the model and champion of good life.
#5. He Must Be Like Isaac
The father is blessed by God to be a blessing. Just as Abraham blessed Isaac; Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau; and Jacob blessed his 12 children, may fathers unleash their blessings upon their children. Fathers’ blessings are ordained by God.
To all fathers, I say HAPPY FATHER’S DAY. Never loose sight of the 5 things above as you fulfill your mandate on earth and manifest your powerful state.
God bless you.
