There was no one amongst the apostles who was persistent than Paul. In Acts, he visited three different cultures where he was persecuted but still went on to other cities to preach the gospel. Nothing could stop Paul from pursuing his kingdom work for Christ.
If we are really going to attain our God-given vision, we must cultivate the third mindset of Paul which can be found in Philippians 3:12 (NKJV) where he noted that, “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; BUT I PRESS ON, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.”
Keep Going
Knowing that he had a vision he had not attained yet and a personality he had not reached yet, Paul’s attitude was to press on and not stagnate in life. In life, you will either stay in the past, tabernacle in the present or press on into the future. By all means, you will find yourself in one of these stations of life. It is better to be in the last category which will help your vision.
Paul teaches us that if we want to know Christ and experience the power of His resurrection, we must press on with our Christ-like living. We must keep pushing. We must keep striving. We must keep persevering and moving until we reach where we are going. If you don’t, nothing will wait for you. Life keeps on going when you stop to mark time.
