Praise God for His works

Exodus 15

Praising the Lord for what He does in our lives must be our daily lifestyle. The Jews teach us in Exodus 15 that after God delivered them from Pharaoh and Egyptians, He was worthy of their praise and worship. We must not be silent about what He does for us. Share the testimony and praise Him forever.

What can we learn from Exodus 15 to be vibrant worshippers of our God?

#1. We must praise the Lord for His wonderful works. (Exodus 15:1-21)

In this section, Moses the leader and Mariam, demonstrated to us that we must be vibrant worshippers of God. We must not keep silent after experiencing the mighty works of our God. Moses composed a song to praise the Lord with the people for what He did to Pharaoh and his horsemen. God totally defeated them and won over them. He drowned them in the Red Sea. This is our God. He is a man of war who does not lose any battle. We must therefore develop the habit of praising His name for all that He does for us. There is none like our God.

#2. We must depend on God His supply. (Exodus 15:22-25a)

The second thing we notice about this chapter is that the fact that you walk with God does not mean you will not experience challenges in life. Just after a major breakthrough of defeating Pharaoh and his army and praising the Lord, the whole congregation of the people went three days without water to drink. When they found water, it had a bitter taste. They complained, Moses cried to God and God gave him a solution that made the water sweet. There was no need to complain since God is capable of resolving anything. He can turn any bitter experience to become sweet and wonderful experience to His wonderful name.

#3. We must depend on God for divine healing. (Exodus 15:25b-27)

The final observation we can make from this chapter is that God gave His people His condition for continuous divine healing. He told them that if they obey His word, He will not put any of the diseases He placed on the Egyptians on them. He will grant them divine health. He then gave them more water than they could drink. Divine healing is possible with God. He is the Lord that heals us from all sickness and diseases. We must put our trust in Him to experience His health and strength.

God deserves our praise and worship for His total and multiple wonders in our lives. He defeats our enemies and preserves our lives to worship Him. Furthermore, He is able to provide nourishment and divine health for us. May He be praised forever.

Take Action: List the things God has done for you and carefully sing a new song to Him.
