Greater Works: A Time of Spiritual Renewal

The highly anticipated Greater Works Conference 2024, hosted by the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), is set to take place from Monday 29th July to Friday 2nd August at Christ Temple East, Teshie. This year’s event marks a significant milestone as ICGC celebrates its 40th anniversary.

From 40 Days of Power to Greater Works

In a recent interview hosted by Benjamin Akakpo on Joy News, Senior Pastors Reverend Albert Ocran and Reverend Kojo Amo-Asare shared insights about the upcoming conference. Reverend Ocran, Senior Pastor of ICGC’s New Wine Temple, emphasized the significance of the event, describing it as the climax of the church’s 40 Days of Power, a period dedicated to fasting, prayer, and seeking divine direction.

“The Greater Works Conference is a time of trusting God for strength to do greater works in the days ahead,” Reverend Ocran explained. He highlighted the importance of the opening night communion service, which marks the end of the 40 days of fasting and praying. “On that night, Pastor Otabil always brings a message for the continent of Africa, addressing the dreams and hopes of a continent looking for God and direction.”

Rich & Strong Preaching

Reverend Kojo Amo-Asare, Senior Pastor of ICGC’s Zoe Temple, reflected on the transformative impact of the conference. “Greater Works Conference is the time when God speaks to us after we have waited on Him for 40 days. The words from the pulpit are strong and rich, empowering us to make strategic decisions going forward. This year, we expect something extraordinary as it also marks our 40th anniversary.”

Conference Speakers

The conference will feature renowned speakers, including Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Bishop Tudor Bismark, and Bishop Mike Okonkwo. Reverend Amo-Asare expressed excitement about their return, stating, “The beauty of Greater Works is that it’s almost as if the speakers have gone for a rehearsal. They build on each other’s messages, providing a clear sense of what God wants to convey.”

Spirit-filled Worship

Music is also a significant aspect of the conference, with performances by ICGC choirs and international guest artists, including Nathaniel Bassey. “The music, preaching, and fellowship make Greater Works a unique experience,” Reverend Ocran noted. “People take time off and travel from different countries to be part of this transformative event.”

Free Busing

Elaborate bus arrangements have been made to facilitate transportation to the venue. Attendees can find details about bus terminals and schedules on the church’s website, www.centralgospel.com. The conference will also be streamed online on platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and Joy Prime, ensuring global participation.

Invitation to Attend

In closing, Reverend Amo-Asare extended an open invitation, saying, “We want to invite everyone to join this year’s Greater Works. Beyond the experiences and messages, we are celebrating 40 years of God’s faithfulness. Your life will never be the same.”

Reverend Ocran added, “May this year be the year you have expected, especially as you join us at Greater Works. God bless you and have a fruitful, blessed day.”

The Greater Works Conference 2024 promises to be a powerful and inspiring event, uniting believers in a shared pursuit of spiritual growth and empowerment.
