Perez Chapel International: A Journey of Faith, Growth, and Lessons for the Future

Introduction

Perez Chapel International, formerly known as the Word Miracle Church International, is a testament to the power of faith, vision, and resilience.

Founded in 1987 by Archbishop Charles Agyinasare and his wife Rev. Mrs. Vivian Agyinasare, this Pentecostal-Charismatic ministry has grown from humble beginnings in Tamale, Northern Ghana, to a global family of churches spanning 22 countries.

This article dwells on the history and work of Perez Chapel International and distils ten lessons from its remarkable journey.

The Genesis and Growth of Perez Chapel International

The inception of Perez Chapel International dates back to March 29, 1987, when Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, then a young convert to Christianity, felt a divine call to ministry.

The church began as a small congregation in Tamale, with its early days marked by challenges such as being evicted from worship venues and enduring basic living conditions.

Despite these hardships, the church’s commitment to spreading the gospel and serving communities remained unwavering.

In 1994, the church relocated to Accra, where it experienced exponential growth. Today, Perez Chapel International boasts over 600 churches worldwide, including significant presences in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The church’s headquarters, the Perez Dome in Accra, is the largest auditorium in Ghana, symbolising its expansive reach and influence.
