“Your life would take the direction of what you are hearing” – Rev. Kojo Amo-Asare at ICGC Exalted Temple (Destiny Awakening Day 1)

Introduction

On the first day of the Destiny Awakening annual conference hosted by ICGC Exalted Temple in Abura-Cape Coast, Reverend Kojo Amo-Asare delivered a powerful sermon on breaking barriers and fulfilling one’s destiny.

The conference, organised by Rev. Jepson C. Ahene, aimed to reawaken destinies and inspire attendees to overcome obstacles in their lives.

Sermon Highlights

Rev. Amo-Asare began by emphasising the importance of connecting to God’s presence and tapping into His grace for empowerment and enablement. He declared, “This night, you can connect to the presence of the Lord and tap into His grace for empowerment and enablement for the fulfilment of destiny.”

The main theme of the sermon was “Barrier Breaking: The Key to Destiny Fulfilment.” Rev. Amo-Asare used the biblical story of David and Goliath to illustrate how barriers can be overcome through faith and determination. He stated, “By my God, I can run against a troop. By my God, I can leap over a wall.”

Rev. Asare identified three main ways barriers are formed:

1. What we hear
2. What we see
3. What we fear will happen to us

He emphasised the power of words and perception, saying, “Your life would take the direction of what you are hearing.” 

He encouraged the congregation to be mindful of what they listen to and watch, as these inputs shape their beliefs and actions.

The preacher shared six key points for breaking barriers:

1. Don’t underestimate what God can do through you
2. Put on the strength of the Lord as your armor
3. Aim at bold and audacious targets
4. Match your desires with God’s riches in glory
5. Call things that do not exist as though they were
6. Anticipate unusual miracles, signs, and wonders

Rev. Amo-Asare motivated the audience to speak positively about themselves and their situations, declaring, “Whatever you keep on saying, eventually you will see.” He encouraged them to live in expectation of goodness, favor, and miracles.

The sermon concluded with a powerful prayer session, where Rev. Amo-Asare led the congregation in breaking barriers and declaring victory over obstacles. 

He proclaimed, “I see every Goliath falling. I see every obstacle coming to the ground. Because you will arise and shine, for your time has come.”
