Accra, Ghana – On Sunday, November 17, 2024, Pastor Mensa Otabil, Founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), announced that 2025 will be the church’s “Our JESUS Year.” He made this declaration during a service at ICGC Christ Temple East, just days after sharing the vision with pastors and leaders of the church.
Addressing the congregation, Pastor Otabil revealed the theme with enthusiasm: “As we normally do every year in November to declare our theme for the upcoming year, our theme for 2025 is simply JESUS. And so, 2025 is going to be our JESUS year.”
He went on to explain the significance of the theme, urging members to focus on emulating Christ in every aspect of their lives. “We’re going to be Jesus people, and we’re going to walk in His ways. We’re going to follow Him, and we’re going to live for Him. And may Christ be glorified in our lives in 2025,” Pastor Otabil emphasized.
The announcement was met with resounding “Amens” from the congregation, as Pastor Otabil encouraged them to prepare their hearts and minds for a Christ-centered year. He added, “We’ll have more to talk about Jesus in the days ahead.”
The “Year of Jesus” theme aligns with ICGC’s tradition of declaring an annual focus, aimed at inspiring and guiding members in their spiritual growth and service. The 2025 theme highlights a renewed commitment to deepening their relationship with Christ and living out His teachings.
