Pastor Jentezen Franklin Urges Christians to Support Israel: “Salvation is of the Jews”

1–2 minutes

In a recent interview with CBN News, Pastor Jentezen Franklin, Senior Pastor of Free Chapel, emphasized the biblical and spiritual reasons why Christians must support Israel and the Jewish people. He highlighted the deep-rooted connection between Christianity and Judaism, urging believers to recognize their spiritual heritage.

“It’s so critical that Christians be educated in our spiritual roots,” Franklin stated. “The apostle Paul put it like this: Can the limb that is producing fruit say to the roots, I have no need of you?”

Franklin pointed to the Bible’s consistent affirmation of Israel’s importance. He referenced Genesis 12:3, where God declares, “I will bless those that bless Israel and I will curse those that curse Israel.” He stressed that this is not just a historical statement but an “eternal law” that remains relevant today.

Beyond the land of Israel, Franklin emphasized the need to honor and support the Jewish people. “We don’t just love the Holy Land where Jesus walked, talked, lived, was born, died, and rose again. We love that land, but we are called to love the people of Israel,” he said.

Citing John 4:22, Franklin underscored the essential role of the Jewish people in God’s salvation plan. “Jesus himself said, ‘Salvation is of the Jews.’ Meaning, I would not be here, Jesus, the Messiah, if it were not for the Jewish race and that tribe God himself chose, the tribe of Judah.”

With rising global tensions and debates surrounding Israel, Franklin’s message is a call for Christians to stand firm in biblical principles, recognizing their spiritual indebtedness to the Jewish people and actively supporting them in faith and action.
