Abuja, Nigeria – During the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Biennial Conference 2025 held at Dunamis Church in Abuja, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), shared a remarkable testimony of God’s raw manifestation, leaving the congregation in awe.
Recalling a past convention experience, Pastor Adeboye narrated how a woman fled from the church, stopping at the gate and calling out to her friend, “Bring my bag. I am going home.” When questioned, she responded, “I can’t come back because there is fire there.”
Pastor Adeboye said he initially rejoiced at this manifestation, but God quickly convicted him. “Suddenly God spoke to me and said, ‘Son, when was the last time you saw that kind of raw manifestation of the presence of God?’” he recounted. “And I said, you know, you have multiplied us, the miracles are many now. He said, ‘Son, don’t dodge my question. When was the last time you saw that naked, raw demonstration of my presence?’ I said, that has been quite a while.”
God then posed a life-changing question to him: “Do you want your fire back?” Pastor Adeboye’s response was immediate: “I said, yes Lord. Then you know what to do. I said, I know. I have to get back to basics.”

He encouraged ministers and believers alike to examine their spiritual fervor. “Thank God for all of you who are already succeeding. Thank you for multiplication. Thank you for great numbers. Is your fire still burning?” he challenged.
Pastor Adeboye described what followed at the next Holy Ghost service as nothing short of divine. As he ministered and called for salvation, a supernatural fire appeared. “Suddenly on the roof, over my head, there was a fire outbreak. It is on tape,” he said, noting that while panic ensued on the altar, those responding to the call remained unfazed. “They saw the fire but they kept on coming. And I didn’t move.”
The most astonishing part of the story was when firefighters arrived. “In the meantime, the firefighters were already there with a ladder to go to the roof, fire extinguisher, etc. They got there and there was no fire,” Pastor Adeboye revealed. “The roof is made of asbestos sheet, no fire, no smoke.”
His testimony served as a powerful reminder of God’s tangible presence and the need for believers to maintain their spiritual fire. The PFN Biennial Conference, which drew thousands of attendees, was marked by fervent prayers, worship, and a renewed hunger for God’s presence.
