Redemption Camp, Nigeria – April 2025 – In a stirring call for spiritual alertness, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has urged Christians around the world to live holy and upright lives as they anticipate the second coming of Jesus Christ. Speaking during the Communion Service of the April 2025 Holy Ghost Service themed “Glorious Tomorrow Meal”, Pastor Adeboye emphasized the importance of purity, readiness, and obedience to God’s will.
Drawing from 1 John 3:3, he reminded believers that only those who keep themselves pure will be ready for Christ’s return. “If you have this hope in you, keep yourself pure. Because when He returns, He’s coming for those who are pure,” he declared. “He’s not coming back for a church that has sin. He’s coming back for a church without a spot, without wrinkles. He’s coming back for a holy church. That’s why you hear me cry, be holy, be holy.”

Pastor Adeboye warned Christians to be mindful of their actions at all times, stressing that the rapture could happen without warning. “Be careful where you are at any moment because at any moment, the trumpet can sound, and if we don’t hear the sound of the trumpet, we are not going anywhere,” he said. “Be careful what you are doing at any particular moment… If the trumpet should sound at that moment and you don’t hear the trumpet, you will be left behind.”
The revered preacher shared a compelling testimony about a prominent man who had once lived a carefree life but experienced a divine encounter that changed his direction. The man, known for attending elite social parties, was once at a lavish gathering with an old flame when he heard the voice of God ask, “If the trumpet should sound now in the midst of this noise, will you hear the trumpet?”
That moment marked a turning point for him. “He said to the lady he was dancing with, ‘Excuse me, please,’” Pastor Adeboye recounted. “The lady thought he was going to his chair to take something. He went straight home. When he got home around midnight and knocked at the door, the wife came to open the door and said, ‘You came early today.’ He replied, ‘If the trumpet sounds, I want to hear.’”
The story served as a powerful reminder that eternal readiness is non-negotiable. Pastor Adeboye’s message was clear: no one should take the grace of God for granted. “Don’t live in secret sin thinking no one sees you,” he warned. “God sees everything. And if you are caught unprepared when the trumpet sounds, it will be too late.”

As the Holy Communion was shared, Pastor Adeboye prayed for grace for every believer to remain holy, vigilant, and rapture-ready. The service left many attendees in sober reflection, rededicating their lives to Christ and renewing their commitment to a life of holiness.
With the world filled with distractions and moral decline, Pastor Adeboye’s message echoed as a divine alarm, reminding the faithful that Jesus Christ is coming soon—and only those prepared will be taken with Him.
