Accra, Ghana – In a fiery and soul-searching sermon titled “What Is In Your Heart?” Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, founder of Action Chapel International, challenged believers to examine the true condition of their hearts, warning that bitterness, unforgiveness, and emotional clutter can sabotage faith and block answered prayers.

“Faith and love do not operate from your head or your emotions — they operate from your heart,” the Archbishop declared.
“So I don’t have room for bitterness, offences, or anger. I have to make room for faith and love to work.”

Referencing Matthew 5:8 — “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” — he explained that a polluted heart creates spiritual blindness and makes divine encounters impossible. Quoting Psalm 66:18, he reminded the church: “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”

Archbishop Duncan-Williams revealed why he avoids negative conversations and even blocks toxic individuals:

“There are people I’ve saved in my phone as ‘Satan’ or ‘Devil’ because after talking to them, your faith disappears. I must protect my heart.”

He urged Christians to guard their hearts with diligence (Proverbs 4:23) because out of it flows the issues of life, including faith, speech, and destiny.

“Faith works by love (Galatians 5:6), and without a heart full of love, your faith has no vehicle to carry it.”

Call to Action:
If your heart is crowded with pain, offense, or pride, it’s time to declutter your soul. Make room for God. Clean your heart. Faith requires space.
