In a momentous event that celebrated decades of spiritual leadership and humanitarian impact, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene (King of the Ashanti Kingdom), in recognition of his unparalleled contribution to global ministry and national development.
Described as a “beacon of spiritual leadership” and “a champion of positive change,” Bishop Heward-Mills was honored for his far-reaching influence through the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC), now present in over 100 countries with more than 6,000 churches.
“Your impact on national development is undeniable,” the citation read. “Through your ministry, you have inspired countless lives, promoted unity, and fostered a culture of hope, resilience, and community service.”
The award presentation included a touching video tribute, highlighting Bishop Heward-Mills’ Healing Jesus Campaign—one of the largest outdoor evangelistic movements in Africa—as well as his humanitarian outreach and his authorship of nearly 60 million books translated into over 50 languages.
“A legacy that shines ever so bright, like the lighthouse,” the announcer proclaimed, drawing applause from dignitaries and the crowd.
This latest recognition adds to the many accolades Bishop Heward-Mills has received from global leaders and organizations for his relentless dedication to preaching the Gospel and uplifting lives across continents.
