Accra, May 11, 2025 — It was a day of jubilant celebration at Action Chapel International, Spintex Road, as thousands gathered in person and online to honour the life and ministry of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams. The occasion, dubbed “Founder’s Day,” marked not only his 68th birthday but also nearly five decades of unrelenting spiritual leadership and revival.
“This is a day of multiple blessings — we celebrate our Papa, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, and also honour our mothers on this special Mother’s Day,” a host declared, urging worshippers to “send in birthday wishes and share the live broadcast to bless others.”
The service featured spirited worship, testimonies, heartfelt tributes, and a powerful sermon by Rev. Eastwood Anaba. In a stirring message themed “What Seest Thou?”, Anaba declared, “Papa must be content knowing he has not labored in vain… this movement is not a millipede; it is a bulldozer.”
The auditorium erupted with worship as the congregation sang, “God, You’re so good,” followed by declarations like “Our God is greater” and “There can be miracles when you believe.” Online viewers from around the globe sent in messages of love, gratitude, and testimonies of transformation.
Archbishop Duncan-Williams, visibly moved, expressed thanks to his church family, children, and leaders who have journeyed with him for over 40 years. Scrolls of Gratitude were presented to long-serving members and spiritual sons and daughters.
“Today we see the fruit of obedience, resilience, and revival,” remarked one elder. “And what we see, we celebrate.”
The celebration continued in the evening with a concert at 4 p.m. at the Prayer Cathedral. Archbishop’s life remains a testament to God’s faithfulness — a legacy shaping generations across nations.
