Apostle Joshua Selman Shares Testimony of Divine Strategy Received During Retreat

Renowned preacher and founder of the Eternity Network International (ENI), Apostle Joshua Selman, has revealed how a divine encounter during a personal retreat in 2011 shaped the global reach of his ministry.

Speaking during a recent message, the respected apostle recounted a powerful moment when the Holy Spirit gave him a prophetic blueprint for spreading his teachings far beyond traditional boundaries.

“He will show you things to come. He will show you things to come,” Selman declared, quoting Scripture as he prepared to share his testimony. “Let me share with you a testimony.”

According to the apostle, it was during a time of solitude and prayer that he received a clear directive from the Holy Spirit regarding the future of his ministry.

“In 2011 or so, the Holy Spirit spoke to me. I was in a retreat, and He said, ‘I want to reveal to you the strategy that will announce you to the nations,’” Selman recalled. “He said a time will come in the future—people will not buy tapes. There will be nothing like tapes, because times will change.”

At a time when social media was still in its infancy, the instruction seemed unconventional. Nevertheless, Selman was told to embrace the emerging digital space.

“Here is what I want you to do,” he continued, quoting the Holy Spirit. “Carry your teachings. Put them… online. My angel will take them to the nations.”

This moment, Selman explained, opened his understanding to a deeper spiritual truth about divine assistance and the supernatural spread of God’s word.

“That was when I knew that there are angels that herald graces,” he said, referencing Revelation 1:1. “The Bible says He sent it and signified it by His angel.”

He went on to teach that certain angelic beings are assigned not merely to individuals but to spiritual offices and callings.

“There are angels, ladies and gentlemen. You see, there are angels assigned to every believer. There are angels assigned to offices. There are angels assigned to mantles,” he stated. “They don’t follow individuals. No. Whoever is a carrier of that grace has the privilege of that angelic order.”

Since then, Apostle Selman’s teachings have reached millions across the globe, thanks in large part to the strategic use of digital platforms—just as he was instructed more than a decade ago.

The testimony serves as a powerful reminder to many of the importance of obedience, spiritual sensitivity, and the evolving methods God uses to fulfill His purposes in each generation.
