Teshie-Accra, June 25, 2025 — The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) officially launched its annual spiritual renewal programme, 40 Days of Power, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at ICGC Christ Temple East in Teshie-Accra. The launch was led by the General Overseer, Pastor Mensa Otabil, in a special gathering with pastors and church leaders.
“This is a sacred season where we set ourselves apart to seek the Lord through fasting and prayer,” said Pastor Otabil. “It brings me great joy each year to witness believers across ICGC and beyond, joining their hearts in faith and prayer.”
The 2025 edition runs from Thursday, June 26 to Monday, August 4, under the overarching church theme, Jesus. The focus throughout the 40 days will be on deepening the understanding of Christ’s person, purpose, principles, provision, and power.
“We are reaffirming Jesus as our Lord and Saviour in this time of consecration. There will be an outpouring of grace as we pray in faith,” Pastor Otabil declared, referencing John 1:16 — “And of His fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.”
Daily prayers will cover topics like consecration, guidance, protection, missions, work, and career. A detailed prayer guide featuring scriptures, themes, and declarations has been provided to help participants pray with focus.
ICGC assemblies across the globe will host in-person prayer services. Christians from all denominations are encouraged to participate.
