Pastor Paul Adefarasin Preaches ‘Show Me Your Glory’ — A Life-Changing Call to Seek God’s Presence

2–3 minutes

Introduction:
At the Greater Works 2025 Conference Day 4 Evening Session, Pastor Paul Adefarasin—Founder and Metropolitan Senior Pastor of House on the Rock—delivered a stirring message that reawakened hearts to the supreme value of God’s presence and glory.

Preaching from John 14:12–17 and Exodus 33:18–23, he challenged thousands to shift their focus from earthly blessings to divine presence, declaring, “Your survival is a sign that the glory of God is with you.”

Key Highlights of the Sermon:

“I don’t want the milk and honey unless Your presence goes with me!” — Pastor Paul Adefarasin at #GreaterWorks2025

  1. Ask God for His Glory
Pastor Paul’s message centered around Moses’ bold request in Exodus 33:18: “Show me Your glory.” He explained that glory is not a mystical feeling but “the omnipresence of God unveiled in a moment or sequence for the betterment of humanity.” This, he stressed, is what transforms lives—not merely the blessings of God, but His manifest presence.
  2. The Bigness of God
“Your perception determines your level of reception,” Pastor Paul declared. If you see God as small, your experience of Him will be limited. He passionately described God as “bigger than the galaxies,” “bigger than time,” and “already present in your tomorrow.” God’s glory, he noted, transcends time and space, and yet seeks to dwell with man.
  3. Moses and the Rock of Glory
In a masterful illustration of Exodus 33, Pastor Paul unpacked how God placed Moses in the cleft of a rock to shield him from the full force of divine glory. “That rock was Christ,” he affirmed (1 Corinthians 10:4), and it is only in Christ that we can both behold and carry God’s glory.
  4. Presence over Presents
Like Moses, Pastor Paul urged believers not to chase milk and honey without God. “I don’t want the Mercedes unless your presence is in it. I don’t want the breakthrough unless you’re all over it.” He noted that many seek gifts from God, but few seek the Giver. “It’s time to graduate from what God gives to who He is.”
  5. From Omnipresence to Manifestation
He taught that although God is everywhere at all times, His glory does not manifest everywhere. “There’s a difference between omnipresence and manifest presence.” Glory comes where there is hunger, reverence, and alignment with God’s purpose.
  6. Greater Works Through the Spirit
Referring to John 14:12–17, Pastor Paul explained that believers can only do greater works through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. “You don’t need the physical Jesus anymore—you need God the Holy Spirit.” This version of God is the power source for greater works.

Conclusion:

This unforgettable message was a clarion call to elevate our spiritual expectations. In Pastor Paul’s words: “Let go of yesterday so you can reach for tomorrow. And it takes glory to show you the new you.”

It’s not about escaping trials but being transformed through them, and rising with a deeper revelation of God.
