Introduction
Greater Works 2025 may be over, but its impact doesn’t have to be. Speaking at ICGC Christ Temple East, the Sunday after the 5-day conference, Pastor Mensa Otabil challenged believers to move from merely having had a “mountain top” moment to living out the power they received.
“We’ve just had heaven on earth,” he said. “It is not only for a moment. It is for a lifetime — for your children, your children’s children, and their children after them. There is a generational release over your life.”
The Danger of Losing Momentum

Pastor Otabil warned that great spiritual experiences often fade because people “lose guard” when the event is over. “When people have had a mountain top experience, the next thing they do is move into a valley… they’re not able to sustain what has happened to them.”
His message focused on how to sustain the blessing: by continuing in faith, action, and focus. Drawing from Acts 1:14, Acts 2:42, Acts 2:46, and Joshua 1:8, he noted that the early church’s success was built on one word — continued.
“The key to the success of the church was not a one-time experience,” he said. “It was that they continued daily.”
Five Keys to Sustaining Your Greater Works Season

From Joshua 1:8, Pastor Otabil outlined five practical steps every believer can take:
- Keep God’s Word in Your Mouth
“When God gives you a victory, that victory must become part of your vocabulary. Your conversation must change,” he said. Instead of regressing to talk of defeat, continually declare God’s promises. - Meditate on the Word Day and Night
“Everybody meditates,” he said. “The question is: what are you meditating on?” We must intentionally dwell on what God has said, not on fear or bad news. - Observe to Do
Belief without action is empty. “Talk about it, think about it, do it,” he repeated. Faith must be followed by decisive steps that align with what we believe God has promised. - Make Your Way Prosperous
God provides the Word, but you must enforce it in your life. “For then you will make your way prosperous,” he stressed, noting that success is the consequence of applying God’s instructions. - Expect Good Success
Prosperity and success are not accidents — they are outcomes of an intentional life rooted in God’s Word.
Intentionality: The Secret Ingredient

Throughout the message, Pastor Otabil emphasised intentionality. “Life will be overwhelming if you’re not intentional. Intentionally press through tiredness, press through boredom, press through resistance. Everything that has life must continue.”
Using the human heart as an illustration, he reminded listeners that life’s continuity is sustained by rhythm and consistency. “Your heart never takes a break… it started in your mother’s womb and may it beat until you are 105. That’s how you must face life.”
Your Next Level Starts Now

Greater Works 2025 was a spark, but sustaining the flame requires deliberate effort. “When God triggers something, we have to continue,” he concluded. “Let God be true and every man a liar. If you believe you’re going to do greater works, then you will — in spite of anything happening around you.”
Action Step: Don’t wait for the next big event. Start talking God’s Word, meditating on it, acting on it, and watch your life rise to the next level.
