“The Bible Is Without Error,” Says Dr. Mensa Otabil at ‘The God Summit’

At The God Summit 2024, Dr. Mensa Otabil delivered a strong defense of the inerrancy of Scripture, asserting that “the Bible is without error” and remains “the unerring Word of God.

Speaking on Day 1 of the Christian apologetics conference, he explained that inerrancy means total truthfulness and reliability of God’s Word. “God did not stammer. God did not mix His words. The God of truth has given us His Word of truth, and it does not contain any untruth in it,” he declared to applause.

He addressed major objections to biblical accuracy, including the lack of original manuscripts. “We may not have the originals of Plato or Aristotle, yet we know what they taught. Likewise, the Bible has more early and accurate copies than any ancient book.

Dr. Otabil concluded that rejecting the Bible’s inerrancy undermines the very nature of God: “If the Bible erred in anything, it would mean God has erred also — and that is impossible.
