The Hallelujah Challenge — one of Africa’s most influential online praise movements — has entered a new phase with the launch of the Hallelujah Challenge Praise Conference, hosted by Premium Trust Bank in Lagos.
Speaking at the conference, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, convener of the Hallelujah Challenge, announced that the event marked “a relaunch and a new beginning” in the eighth year of the movement. “It’s been a landmark year,” he said. “We’ve had record-breaking numbers, with over 70,000 registered conversions. We are so big on souls because that’s what the Lord wants.”
Bassey explained that the Praise Conference was designed to unveil ministers for the upcoming Hallelujah Festival, scheduled for Sunday, November 2, at the Police College, Ikeja. “This is a time when we gather physically to give God premium praise,” he added, referencing Exodus 5:1 as the spiritual inspiration: “Let my people go so they may hold a festival unto me.”
Dr. Emmanuel Emefienim, Managing Director of Premium Trust Bank, expressed delight in partnering with the movement: “We are proud to be associated with the Hallelujah Challenge. Lives have been transformed, hope has been renewed, and light has come where there was darkness. This is what we stand for as an organisation — transforming lives and enabling communities.”
Kenyan gospel singer Minister Evelyn Wanjiru shared her joy at being part of the event: “Africa is not going to be the same again. This is a nation that loves God and has set the pace for the continent.”
Minister Lilian Nneji also gave an emotional testimony of how God used the Challenge to heal her pain: “Hallelujah Challenge is a platform that touches every part of life — spiritual, emotional, and physical. I’m a living testimony of what God can do through one obedient man.”
Bassey revealed that future editions of the Hallelujah Festival would spread across continents: “We are seeing a time where we’ll have Hallelujah Festivals in Europe, America, and around the world. Our vision is to be a praise upon the earth — glorifying God and edifying people.”
The upcoming Hallelujah Festival promises to be a “banquet of praise,” drawing thousands in person and millions online for an unforgettable night of worship, joy, and transformation.
