In a sermon rich with theological clarity, Pastor Mensa Otabil argued that biblical prophecy leaves no ambiguity about the identity of the Messiah. “By the time you finish reading the description, only one person fits the bill—Jesus.”
He cited Jacob’s prophecy in Genesis 49, Micah’s precision in foretelling Bethlehem, and Revelation’s recognition of the Lion of Judah.
“The Messiah must come from Judah, be born in Bethlehem, and yet come from eternity. There are no two Christs.”
Otabil stressed that this prophetic alignment is not coincidental:
“Your Christian faith is not a fairy tale. It is a clearly defined revelation of God to us.”

He highlighted Jesus’ own words:
“And I, if I be lifted up, will draw all men unto me.”
Then added: “Exactly as Jacob prophesied—unto Him shall the gathering of all peoples be.”
He concluded with a heartfelt declaration:
“Thank you, Jesus, that you have called us—even in Ghana, in Accra—out of many nations. Unto you is this gathering.”
