In a compelling message delivered at ICGC Christ Temple East, the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Mensa Otabil, officially announced that 2026 will be the church’s “Kingdom Year.”

He explained that while 2025 has been dedicated to exploring who Jesus is, the coming year will focus on what Jesus taught and modelled. “This year, our theme has been Jesus… Next year… our theme for 2026 is kingdom. The kingdom is what Jesus talked about,” Dr. Otabil declared.

He revealed that the church will dive deeply into the Gospel of Matthew throughout the year. “I will be teaching from the Beatitudes… and the parables of the kingdom from Matthew 13,” he said, adding that the goal is not only knowledge but transformation.

According to him, the Christian life is meant to be lived with spiritual authority and practical demonstration: “We are going to see how the kingdom of God is manifested in our lives in all the things that we do.”

Dr. Otabil assured congregants that the coming year will be spiritually enriching and impactful: “It is going to be an exciting year as we explore how to not only know Jesus, but demonstrate his life and his power in our lives.”

The announcement generated excitement among members who see the new theme as a roadmap for deeper discipleship, stronger faith, and kingdom-centred living in 2026.
