“Christmas Is an Invitation to a New Beginning” – Pastor Otabil’s Message to the Weary and Broken

LOB Special I http://www.livingourbible.com I Thursday 25th December 2025

As the year draws to a close, Pastor Mensa Otabil has described Christmas as God’s invitation to renewal, forgiveness, and fresh beginnings. Speaking compassionately, he acknowledged the emotional burdens many carry into the season.

“Many people want a clean slate as the year ends,” he said. “But the only thing that truly wipes the slate clean is God’s mercy.”

He explained that Christmas proclaims God’s readiness to forgive. “There is no sin too great, no burden too heavy, and no distance too far,” Pastor Otabil said.

Referencing the angelic announcement at Christ’s birth, he said, “Christmas declares God’s goodwill toward man.”

Pastor Otabil emphasized that salvation is not earned but received. “God has stretched out His hand,” he said. “All we have to do is receive.”

He described Christmas as the perfect moment for personal surrender. “If you want a new beginning, Christ has already come for you,” he stated.

During the conversation, he led listeners in a prayer of salvation, inviting them to welcome Christ into their hearts. “Let Christ be born in your heart,” he prayed.

He concluded with a hopeful reminder. “You can end the year in joy—but more importantly, you can receive Christ as Lord.”

According to Pastor Otabil, that decision is the greatest Christmas gift anyone can receive.
