Pastor Mensa Otabil, General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), delivered a reflective and gratitude-filled message on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at ICGC Christ Temple East, as the church held its final Sunday service of the year.
Speaking from Psalm 107:1–2, Pastor Otabil reminded the congregation that despite life’s ups and downs, Christ remains constant. “Every year comes with a mixed bag… but there is one constant and His name is Jesus. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever,” he declared.
He emphasized that the church’s 2025 theme, Jesus, was never meant to end with the calendar year. “Jesus is not just for a year; Jesus is for all time,” he said, adding that 2026 would usher in a new focus on the Kingdom, as taught and modeled by Christ Himself.
Pastor Otabil expressed deep gratitude to his wife, church pastors, staff, volunteers, and members, urging believers to cultivate a culture of appreciation. “One of the things we have to learn to do is to show appreciation,” he noted.
Reaffirming his commitment to diligent ministry, he said, “I have been involved in Christian ministry since 1975… I never take preaching for granted. Every week is sweat and toil for me.”
As the year closed, the message struck a hopeful tone—calling believers to enter 2026 grounded in Christ, grateful for His faithfulness, and expectant of deeper kingdom living.
