LOB News I http://www.livingourbible.com I Tuesday 6th January 2026
During the Day 4 Evening Session of the COZA 12 Days of Glory (12DG) 2026 on January 5, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, Global Senior Pastor of The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), delivered a moving personal testimony that highlighted sacrifice, spiritual hunger, and the power of divine alignment.
Addressing thousands of worshippers, Pastor Fatoyinbo traced his journey back to 2003, when he first encountered the teachings of Pastor Mensa Otabil. At the time, he was in Ilorin and newly married, with limited resources but a burning desire for spiritual growth. “I listened and I listened,” he recalled, explaining how the depth of the message compelled him to pursue the source, despite having no money to fly to Ghana.
What followed was an extraordinary journey of faith. Pastor Fatoyinbo narrated how he traveled by taxis and lorries from Lagos, crossed borders on foot during a period of instability, and passed through unfamiliar villages in Togo before finally arriving in Ghana. “What am I looking for in a flower border?” he asked rhetorically, describing the uncertainty and danger of the trip. Eventually, he made his way to Accra and located International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), where Pastor Otabil ministers.
Determined not to leave empty-handed, he recounted how he visited the church’s tapes department and pleaded to purchase years’ worth of recorded teachings. “I don’t just want to buy one,” he said, explaining that he paid for multiple tapes to be sent to him over time. The experience, he noted, puzzled his wife and others around him, but it marked a turning point in his spiritual and ministerial journey.
Reflecting on the contrast between then and now, Pastor Fatoyinbo remarked that the same man who once crossed borders with difficulty has since hosted Pastor Otabil many times and witnessed the fulfillment of long-held dreams. “Church dreams do come true,” he declared, urging ministers and believers to pursue depth rather than showmanship. “I want your taste to change in life and in ministry. Go for the right things. Don’t go for theatrics.”
In a heartfelt conclusion, Pastor Fatoyinbo publicly acknowledged Pastor Otabil’s enduring influence on his life, family, and ministry. He described the Ghanaian preacher as “a pillar behind me, behind this ministry,” and invited the congregation to join him in expressing gratitude and appreciation.
