In one of the most emotional moments of his presentation, Dr. Sam Chand shared personal leadership lessons that have shaped his global ministry journey. Speaking at Doulos Conference 2026, he recounted how a senior church leader once gave him simple yet profound guidance.
“Brother Sam… live long, live clean,” he recalled, describing the advice as foundational to enduring leadership.
Chand explained that longevity in ministry requires moral discipline and spiritual focus. He also shared how the words of his late mother — “I’m going to heaven. You’d better make it too” — continue to influence his life decisions.
Through these stories, he emphasised the power of formative voices in shaping leadership identity. According to him, pastors who cultivate integrity and purpose are better positioned to lead churches that thrive for generations.
