Introduction
At the Day 3 morning session of Doulos Conference 2026 at ICGC Christ Temple East, Teshie-Accra, Pastor Ransford Obeng delivered a passionate and life-defining message centred on one powerful truth: life is about assignment.
In a stirring teaching, he challenged pastors and leaders to live intentionally and fulfil God’s divine purpose for their lives.
Life Is Not About Possessions but Purpose
Pastor Obeng began by redefining life according to Scripture. “True life is not made up of the things you own,” he stated, explaining that material success does not define a fulfilled life.
Instead, he emphasised that Jesus came not only to die but to demonstrate the kind of life believers are meant to live.
Jesus Is the Model of Our Assignment
He highlighted that every believer is called to follow Christ’s example. “You are not born again to become like Elijah… you are born again to become like Christ,” he declared.
He explained that Jesus lived with clarity of purpose, consistently focused on fulfilling His divine assignment.
Assignment Defines True Living
In one of the most powerful moments, he stated emphatically, “Life is about assignment.”
He showed how Jesus, Paul, and John the Baptist all lived with this mindset—prioritising their mission over comfort, popularity, or longevity.
Work While It Is Day
Pastor Obeng warned leaders against procrastination. “I must work… while it is day,” he quoted, urging pastors to maximise their current season before opportunities pass.
He stressed that time is limited, and every leader must act decisively to fulfil their calling.
Finish Your Assignment
Drawing from Jesus and Paul, he emphasised the importance of finishing well. “I have finished the work… you gave me to do,” he quoted, highlighting the ultimate goal of ministry.
