Renowned Ghanaian minister and former public servant, Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, has shared a powerful testimony of her faith journey during her 80th birthday thanksgiving service held at ICGC Christ Temple East on Thursday, 27th March 2026.
In an atmosphere of gratitude and reflection, she boldly affirmed her unwavering belief in Jesus Christ as the only source of salvation, declaring, “There’s every truth in believing in the Lord Jesus… He’s the only one, there is no other.”
Recounting her life-transforming encounter with Christ, she pointed to 1986 as a defining moment. “My 40 years prior are not the same as my 40 years after 1986,” she stated, explaining how John 14:15 reshaped her life: “If you love me, you will obey my commands.” Emphasizing the depth of her transformation, she added, “He really, really changes our life. And I am a living testimony.”
Rev. Aryee highlighted the power of God’s Word, noting that it gave her an insatiable hunger that became “more than food.” She stressed that true ministry must be rooted in Scripture, saying, “All power is in the word of God… if he doesn’t use the scriptures, he’s speaking to the air.”
She also acknowledged the guidance of Pastor Mensa Otabil, who encouraged her with the insight that “work is also ministry,” a perspective that shaped her national leadership impact.
Encouraging believers to remain grounded in God, she concluded with Genesis 15:1: “I’m your shield and your exceedingly great reward,” urging all to walk daily with the Holy Spirit and grow into Christlikeness.
