Introduction

Christ Dethroned the Powers of Darkness
The first bold truth is clear: “Christ Jesus has dethroned all the rulers of darkness.” Through His resurrection, Jesus disarmed and defeated every spiritual authority that once held humanity captive.
Pastor Otabil explained that this was not symbolic but decisive warfare: “He disarmed principalities and powers… he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them.” The enemy is not in control—he is defeated, disarmed, and publicly disgraced.
Christ Is Enthroned Above All Powers
Victory did not leave the throne empty. Pastor Otabil emphasized, “If you dethrone, you must be enthroned.” Jesus is now seated in absolute authority, far above every power.
He highlighted a powerful truth: “He sat down… to sit down means there is nothing more to be done.” Christ’s work is complete. The battle is not ongoing—it is finished.

However, this power is not independent. As Pastor Otabil clarified, “The believer is not powerful in himself… we are powerful in Christ.” Our strength, identity, and triumph are rooted in Him alone.
