The weekly Sunday Service sermons of Pastor Mensa Otabil in this season of COVID-19 has been inspiring and aimed at bringing us hope for tomorrow. The General Overseer of International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has said time and again that God is still with us and that He will use this pandemic meant for our bad to be for our good. I have compiled 15 of his inspiring quotes from three of his sermons, namely; Break Up Your Fallow Ground, When God Opens The Tap, and When God Plants Your Field.
Below are the quotes from his Sunday Services to urge you on. You can share your favourite quotes after reading.
#1. “God doesn’t totally solve our problems. He gives us the opportunity, the structures, the wisdom to solve our problems. When God gives you gold, you make the jewelry. When God gives you farmlands, you plant them. When He gives you oil, you create the oil industry and products.”
#2. “For those who are 35 years and below, may God cause you to build things your fathers could never build. May you do things that your leaders could never do. You will not repeat the mistakes of the elders. Because of you our nations will build and prosper!”
#3. “If you trust God, although the fountain is only a trickle, He will cause it to grow and expand into a huge river.”
#4. “You will not die in the wilderness. You may be tired and weary but God will come through for you. He will sustain you by His miraculous provision.”
#5. “Whatever life has done to you, wherever you find yourself, God will not forsake you.”
#6. “Breaking up the fallow ground is the key to breakthrough. Until you break up the fallow ground, you are going to remain in hardship and where you are.”
#7. “Each one of us has a fallow ground we must break. Until we break up the fallow ground, there will be no sowing, and until there is sowing there will be no germination and until there is germination, there will be no fruitfulness.”
“8. “Breaking up the fallow ground is about pioneering new things, attempting things you have never attempted before, going where you have never gone before, or starting what you have never started before.”
#9. “You will go boldly to where no one has ever gone before. People have set a ceiling for you but you will go beyond it.”
#10. “God is not offended when His children do great things. He has created us to explore the world and its opportunities.”
#11. “God wants us to take something that is unfamiliar and scary and break it up and make it fruitful.”
#12. “When God gives you a fallow ground, don’t curse it and don’t run away from it. He wants to give you the opportunity to do something new and great which you thought was impossible. It is a time for new businesses, new processes and new accomplishments.”
#13. “We are about to enter the greatest and the most fulfilling years of our lives. We are about to see the gospel penetrate places in ways we never thought was possible. We are about to see God expand His kingdom in a way we have not imagined. The Church of Jesus Christ will grow and abound. People will take care of their families better. Schools and healthcare will be far better and advanced.”
#14. “By the end of this pandemic, especially for those of us in what are called Third World countries, we will see some of the most accelerated growths of our economies and countries.”
#15. “I see you owning what you have never owned before, possessing what you have never possessed, rising to where you have never rising to, embracing what you have never embraced before, counting what you have never counted before in the name of Jesus!”
