ICGC The Royal Temple Marks 27 Years of God’s Glory and Faithfulness

The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) The Royal Temple, located at Anyah Market, Awoshie-Accra, joyfully celebrated its 27th anniversary on Sunday, February 2, 2025. The service, filled with worship, gratitude, and reflection, marked 27 years since the church’s official inauguration on February 1, 1998.

The celebration featured vibrant performances, including choreography by the Royal Theatre Ministry and soul-lifting song ministrations by the Royal Chorale, Kafui Mills-Odoi, and the Royal Temple Choir.

A touching two-minute photo video was played, highlighting the church’s remarkable journey from its humble beginnings to its present state of growth and impact.

In his address, Senior Pastor Rev. Samuel Awuku-Gyekye recounted the church’s origins. “We began in October 1997 and were officially inaugurated on February 1, 1998, in a church member’s house before moving to the first floor of a shop complex at Abrantie, Awoshie,” he shared. The church has its own well-furnished worship center located behind Anyah Market.

With a heart full of gratitude, he acknowledged the dedication of foundation members, leaders, and key members who have remained steadfast in their commitment to the church.

Preaching on the theme “I Will Win No Matter What” from Philippians 4:13, Rev. Awuku-Gyekye encouraged the congregation to develop a winning mindset. “Like Apostle Paul, we must cultivate a positive attitude that will propel us to victory in all aspects of life,” he exhorted.

The service was a testimony to God’s faithfulness, as members reflected on past challenges and triumphs. With a renewed spirit, the congregation embraced the future with faith, declaring that greater things lie ahead for ICGC The Royal Temple.

As the anniversary concluded, the church reaffirmed its mission to be a beacon of hope, prayer, and transformation, continuing its journey of faith and impact.
