Introduction

Greater Works 2025, hosted by the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) from August 4–8 at Christ Temple East, Accra, was a spiritual feast that left attendees empowered, inspired, and charged for Kingdom impact. For five days, world-renowned ministers preached messages that stirred hearts, renewed faith, and propelled believers toward doing the “greater works” Jesus promised in John 14:12.

This year’s sermons were filled with prophetic declarations, deep biblical insight, and practical wisdom for living victoriously in Christ. From breaking generational barriers to walking in divine favour, every message carried a life-changing truth.

Below is a recap of all 16 sermons—including the title, preacher, key scriptures, and a summary of each message—so you can relive the power of Greater Works 2025.

1. Doing Greater Works 1

Preacher: Pastor Mensa Otabil (Founder and General Overseer, ICGC)
Key Scriptures: John 14:8–14; Matthew 11:2–6
Summary:
Pastor Otabil opened Greater Works 2025 by affirming that John 14:12 is still true today—believers can and will do the works of Jesus, even greater in scale. “Greater” means more extensive in reach, not different in nature. Jesus healed, delivered, restored, and preached to the poor—acts of divine repair—and we are called to continue the same. Despite human shortcomings, Christ’s double “Amen” guarantees His work through us. The message ended with a call to salvation and the assurance that Jesus still repairs broken lives.

2. Doing Greater Works 2

Preacher: Pastor Mensa Otabil
Key Scriptures: John 14:8–14
Summary:
Continuing the theme, Pastor Otabil explained that “greater works” is about amplifying Christ’s mission, not self-glorification. Jesus ministered in a limited geographical scope, but we are commissioned to take His message globally. The true source of power is faith in Christ—not rituals, mantles, or personalities. Everything flows from Him: healing, authority, and gifts. Our ability to do greater works is anchored in His finished work and present intercession.

3. Destiny Helpers

Preacher: Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo (Founder and General Overseer, KICC)
Key Scriptures: Isaiah 50:5–7; Hebrews 13:6; Job 29:15–16; Genesis 41:1; Psalm 121:1–2
Summary:
Pastor Ashimolowo taught that when God wants to elevate you, He sends destiny helpers—people who open doors, give counsel, provide resources, and accelerate your journey. He identified various types: divine connectors, gatekeepers, sponsors, intercessors, recommenders, and even adversaries who unknowingly advance your cause. He declared that those who have waited on God will meet timely helpers who bring restoration and promotion, proclaiming with conviction: “Your helper will show up!”

4. Magnify the Lord: Jesus, Name Above All Names

Preacher: Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo
Key Scriptures: Psalm 34:3; Philippians 2:9–11; Exodus 3:14; Genesis 3:15; Romans 8:11; John 1:1–5; Malachi 3:6; Philippians 1:21
Summary:
In a worship-saturated message, Pastor Ashimolowo exalted over 100 attributes of Jesus, proclaiming Him as King, Deliverer, Healer, and Everlasting God. He urged believers to boldly magnify the Lord and prophesied healing, deliverance, open doors, and supernatural turnaround. “Because of the name of Jesus,” he declared, “your level will change.” Faith was ignited in the unmatched power of Christ’s name.

5. The Perez Anointing

Preacher: Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo
Key Scriptures: Genesis 38:27–29; Psalm 60:1; Joel 2:25; Ruth 4:18–22
Summary:
Drawing from the story of Perez’s unexpected breakthrough, Pastor Ashimolowo described the “Perez Anointing” as divine acceleration, restoration, and the grace to surpass limitations. He challenged believers to reject positions that are merely symbolic (“scarlet threads”) and instead seek impact that shifts generations. With prophetic declarations, he proclaimed restoration of lost years and supernatural elevation.

6. Only Jesus Is Enough

Preacher: Bishop Mike Okonkwo (Founder and Presiding Bishop, TREM)
Key Scriptures: Matthew 17:3–8; Philippians 2:5; 2 Corinthians 5:16–17; Colossians 3:1–4; Galatians 1:6–9; Romans 4:25; 5:1–2; Revelation 13:11; Ephesians 4:14; Hebrews 13:9; John 1:1–12
Summary:
Bishop Okonkwo declared that Jesus is the sole message of the Church. He warned against distractions, false doctrines, and spiritual additives. In Christ, believers are new creations with complete access to victory and provision. Contrasting Mount Sinai’s law with Mount Zion’s grace, he called the Church back to Christ-centered preaching.

7. Even Now: The God of Last-Minute Miracles

Preacher: Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo
Key Scriptures: John 11:22; Job 42:12; Ecclesiastes 7:8; 2 Kings 4; Exodus 14
Summary:
Pastor Ashimolowo presented God as the One who shows up “even now” when situations seem beyond hope. Using Lazarus’ resurrection and the Red Sea crossing, he assured believers that divine delays are setups for sudden breakthroughs. He prophesied that this is the year of last-minute miracles and unforgettable testimonies.

8. Control the Narratives

Preacher: Bishop Mike Okonkwo
Key Scriptures: 1 Kings 20:1–11; James 4:7; Genesis 1:1–3; Genesis 3; Romans 8:29–30; Colossians 1:27
Summary:
Bishop Okonkwo urged believers to reclaim their life’s story from the lies of the enemy. He exposed “truth illusions” that distort destiny and warned against engaging in dialogue with the devil. By resisting Satan and standing in God’s truth, believers can walk in their predestined victory.

9. Man of Gold

Preacher: Bishop Tudor Bismark (Founder and General Overseer, New Life Covenant Church)
Key Scriptures: Psalm 23:1–3; Proverbs 4:11; Psalm 16:11; Jeremiah 6:16; Psalm 25:4
Summary:
Bishop Bismark unpacked Psalm 23 as a roadmap from divine favour to generational wealth, highlighting “Streams of Gold” and “Seven Golden Paths of Righteousness.” He taught that wisdom, honour, and obedience lead to lasting impact and legacy.

10. Doing Greater Works: Speaking the Language of the World

Preacher: Pastor Mensa Otabil
Key Scriptures: John 14:12; Acts 2:1–8
Summary:
Pastor Otabil taught that the miracle of Pentecost symbolizes the Holy Spirit’s power to bridge cultural and language barriers. He urged believers to communicate God’s truth in ways that resonate with every culture and profession, emphasising the Word, Prayer, and Liturgy as ministry pillars.

11. Show Me Your Glory

Preacher: Pastor Paul Adefarasin (Founder, House On the Rock Church)
Key Scriptures: Exodus 33:18–23; John 14:12, 16–17; 1 Corinthians 10:4
Summary:
Pastor Adefarasin explained that God’s glory—the tangible unveiling of His presence—is greater than any gift. He called believers to pursue intimacy with God, seek His presence above His blessings, and steward the anointing to do greater works.

12. Going Forward

Preacher: Bishop Tudor Bismark
Key Scriptures: Exodus 14:15; 1 Samuel 10:1–3; Genesis 13 & 18; Matthew 13:4–8
Summary:
Bishop Bismark declared a prophetic call to move beyond delay and defeat. Citing examples from Scripture, he encouraged sowing seeds even in challenging conditions, silencing the enemy’s lies, and embracing God’s future with courage.

Summary:
Bishop Bismark taught that God’s favour operates within established systems. These divine structures—spiritual laws, natural order, covenant principles—must be recognized and managed wisely to produce predictable blessings. Alignment with God’s system ensures sustained favour.

14. Keep Your Eye on the Gas Gauge

Preacher: Pastor Paul Adefarasin
Key Scriptures: John 14:12, 16–17; Mark 6:1–4; Romans 8:29; 2 Timothy 2:13; Colossians 1:11; Philippians 4:13; Habakkuk 2:3

15. Go for It

Preacher: Bishop Tudor Bismark
Key Scriptures: 1 Samuel 14:1–15; Isaiah 7:10–14

Bishop Bismark urged decisive action when God presents opportunities, calling it a “blank check” anointing. He contrasted Jonathan’s bold faith with Saul’s passivity, urging believers to pray big, act boldly, and claim God’s promises.

Preacher: Pastor Mensa Otabil
Key Scriptures: John 14:12–14; John 15:16; John 16:23; Acts 3; Acts 4
