The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) will celebrate its 42nd anniversary in February 2026, marking over four decades of ministry, growth, and spiritual impact in Ghana and across the world. The milestone was highlighted by Pastor Mensa Otabil, General Overseer of ICGC, during his recent remarks to the congregation.
Welcoming members into the anniversary month, Pastor Otabil reminded the church of its founding and God’s sustaining grace over the years. “We were founded on the 26th of February in the year 1984, and so on 26th February this month we will be 42 years as a church, and we thank God for that,” he said.
He noted that the anniversary provides an opportunity for collective reflection and gratitude. “Throughout this month, we remember all that God has done for us as a church in these 42 years,” Pastor Otabil stated, emphasizing thanksgiving as a central theme of the celebration.
Encouraging active participation, he invited members across all ICGC assemblies to express unity and identity during the anniversary period. “We’re encouraging people to wear their church cloth in all the styles, in all the manifestations that it is found in,” he added.
Pastor Otabil also declared a prayer of blessing over the anniversary month, saying, “May God prosper our month, amen.” His remarks set a reflective yet hopeful tone as the church celebrates God’s faithfulness while looking ahead to the future.
The 42nd anniversary celebration is expected to unite ICGC members in thanksgiving, renewal, and recommitment to the church’s mission of sound biblical teaching, leadership development, and societal transformation.
