Archbishop Charles Agyinasare has warned churches against promoting individuals without proper spiritual formation, calling for a return to disciplined training and foundational growth.
“Build depth before display,” he declared during his message at the Supernatural Empowerment Summit 2026.
He criticized the trend of elevating new converts—especially celebrities—into leadership roles without adequate preparation.
“When a celebrity gets saved… let them go through the foundation… we are always in a hurry,” he said.
The Archbishop emphasized that true leadership must be built through consistent teaching, training, and spiritual grounding.
“In my church… if you don’t go through training, you don’t become an elder,” he stated.
He warned that prioritizing visibility over depth leads to unstable ministries and leadership failures.
“When you prioritise depth… what is displayed becomes authentic, sustainable, and powerful,” he explained.
The statement has sparked renewed conversations about leadership development in churches and ministries worldwide.
