TESHIE, ACCRA, Ghana — Christians should spend less time obsessing over witches and spiritual enemies and more time discovering the authority of Christ within them, Pastor Mensa Otabil has urged.
Ministering at ICGC Christ Temple East, Teshie-Accra, on Sunday, June 28, 2026, the General Overseer of ICGC challenged believers to shift their focus from fear to revelation.
Referring to the Apostle Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1, Pastor Otabil said believers should pray for spiritual wisdom and revelation rather than constantly seeking information about enemies.
“I want God to give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,” he said.
He observed that many Christians spend their prayers asking God to expose witches or identify those working against them.

“What value is that?” he asked.
Pastor Otabil insisted that believers already sit “far above all principality and power” through Christ.
“The Christian sits in a place of authority where he cannot be attacked by demons,” he declared.
He further stated, “The greatest desire of the believer is to have the eyes of his understanding open.”
Pastor Otabil concluded by encouraging Christians to pursue a deeper knowledge of Christ instead of allowing fear of spiritual attacks to dominate their faith.
His message launched a broader teaching series designed to help believers walk confidently in kingdom authority during the 40 Days of Power.
