Pastor Sam Adeyemi Says Financial Breakthrough Begins with What You Already Have, Not What You Lack

LAGOS, Nigeria — Globally recognized strategic leadership expert, author, and Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, has challenged Christians to stop focusing on what they lack and instead discover the hidden value of what God has already placed in their hands. Speaking from the story of the widow in 2 Kings 4:1–7, Adeyemi explained that God rarely begins financial miracles by giving people money; rather, He starts by revealing the resources they already possess.

Referring to the widow’s small flask of oil, Adeyemi noted that her breakthrough began only after the prophet Elisha redirected her attention from her debt to her available resources.

“Tell them I will never allow you to get to the point where there’s nothing around you that I can use to move you to the next level of breakthrough.”

According to the leadership teacher, many people remain financially frustrated because they constantly think about what they need instead of identifying what they can offer. He stressed that God’s solutions often begin with ordinary resources that become extraordinary through obedience and wisdom.

Adeyemi encouraged believers to cultivate a mindset of stewardship, insisting that every individual possesses skills, knowledge, relationships, experiences, or opportunities capable of generating value when properly utilized. Rather than waiting for external rescue, Christians should prayerfully examine what God has already entrusted to them and begin taking practical steps toward financial growth.
