Christians must move beyond the excitement of Greater Works 2026 and use the Word of God they received to confront life’s challenges, Pastor Mensa Otabil has urged.
Speaking at ICGC Christ Temple East, Teshie-Accra, on Sunday, August 9, 2026, the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church reflected on “Life After Greater Works: Sustaining the Momentum,” drawing lessons from Exodus 13:3.
Pastor Otabil cautioned that spiritual mountaintop experiences do not prevent problems from returning.
“Life does not take a break,” he said, stressing that believers must deliberately preserve what God deposited in them during the conference.
He outlined four things Christians should do: remember how they felt in God’s presence, remember what God said to them, remember what they said to God, and do what they promised God they would do.
Central to his message was the importance of recording and revisiting the specific Word received during the conference.
“You’re gonna battle in life, not based on an atmosphere you were in, but the word you received,” Pastor Otabil declared.
He encouraged believers to return to their sermon notes, messages and scriptures and identify what God personally spoke to them.
“We’re going to do battle with it. We’re going to do great things with it. We’re going to overcome challenges with it,” he said.
Pastor Otabil concluded that although Greater Works has ended, believers can continue walking victoriously by turning their conference encounters into obedient daily living.
