ICGC Zoe Temple in Tema celebrated its 25th anniversary with a memorable Kingdom Night with Dr. Mensa Otabil, bringing together church members, ministers, invited guests and worshippers for an evening of thanksgiving, testimonies, music and the Word of God on Friday, August 21, 2026.
Led by its Senior Pastor, Rev. Kojo Amo-Asare Jnr, the anniversary service celebrated what the church described as 25 years of God’s grace, growth and kingdom influence.
The service opened with intercession and thanksgiving for lives transformed, souls saved and families restored through the ministry. Moving testimonies highlighted the church’s journey, including members recounting God’s intervention in childbirth, healing and family life. One couple, after losing their first child, testified that God eventually blessed them with four children, declaring: “Keep believing in God. Have faith in God. With God, all things are possible.”
Music featured prominently, with ministrations from the Zoe Temple Youth Choir, Harmonious Chorale, Lumina from ICGC Christ Temple East and gospel musician Pastor Isaiah Fosu-Kwakye Jnr, alongside the congregational hymn To God Be the Glory.
Introducing Pastor Otabil, Rev. Amo-Asare paid tribute to the ICGC founder for shaping his leadership and ministry.
“Dr. Otabil is the model I follow,” he said, adding, “Thank you so much, Doc, for modelling leadership.” He also honoured Lady Joy Otabil for the lessons in excellence and event management he had learned from her.
Pastor Otabil congratulated the church and its leadership, telling Rev. Amo-Asare and his wife: “You have laboured so well and you have done a marvellous job in this house, in this city of Tema.”
Preaching from Matthew 28:16–18, he focused on the absolute authority of Jesus Christ and what it truly means to act in His name.
“You cannot use the name of Jesus as a magic formula to prayer. You have to encounter the living, real, authentic Jesus,” Pastor Otabil declared.
He concluded with prayers for healing, deliverance, fruitfulness, Zoe Temple and the wider city, declaring: “Let Tema be the spiritual hub of Ghana. Let it be the place of spiritual power and revival.”
