Introduction
Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Founder and Global President of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), delivered a faith-building message titled “The Unstoppable God” during the Day 2 Evening Session of Greater Works 2026 on Tuesday, 4 August 2026.
Preaching from Job 42:2, Isaiah 14:27, Isaiah 43:13, Jeremiah 32:17–27, and Ephesians 3:20–21, he declared that God’s purposes cannot be delayed, defeated, or reversed.
Throughout the sermon, he encouraged believers to place their confidence in God’s limitless power rather than their circumstances, reminding them that every obstacle must eventually bow before the Almighty.
God Cannot Be Stopped
Pastor Ashimolowo opened by proclaiming the supremacy of God over every earthly and spiritual authority. He boldly declared, “The president that can stop Him has not been born. The system that can stop Him has not been made.” According to him, God does not seek anyone’s permission to be God. He is eternal, sovereign, and operates independently of human approval or opposition. No government, demon, or circumstance has the authority to frustrate His plans.

God’s Purpose Will Always Prevail
Drawing from Job and Isaiah, the preacher stressed that God’s original intention for His people cannot be cancelled. Although believers may experience hardship, disappointment, or delay, God’s purpose remains intact. Using Job’s testimony after immense personal loss, he demonstrated that faith is strengthened when believers continue to trust God even without immediate answers.

Nothing Is Too Difficult for God
Reflecting on Jeremiah 32, Pastor Ashimolowo reminded worshippers that no challenge is beyond God’s ability. Whether facing sickness, financial hardship, delayed breakthroughs, broken relationships, or impossible situations, believers should remember that God specialises in impossibilities. He repeatedly challenged the congregation to stop measuring God’s ability by the size of their problems.

Never Reduce God to Your Circumstances
One of the sermon’s strongest appeals was for Christians to refuse to define God by temporary situations. “Don’t reduce your God to your experience,” he urged. Medical reports, bank balances, age, family history, previous failures, and disappointments should never become the measure of God’s power. Instead, believers should expect Him to exceed their prayers, hopes, and dreams.

The Bible Reveals an Unstoppable God
Pastor Ashimolowo highlighted numerous biblical examples that reveal God’s unstoppable nature. The Red Sea opened before Israel, Jericho’s walls collapsed, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego survived the fiery furnace, Daniel was preserved in the lions’ den, Peter walked out of prison, and Jesus rose triumphantly from the grave. Every account demonstrated that when God intervenes, human limitations and impossible barriers disappear.

God Breaks Barriers and Opens New Doors
The preacher described God as the ultimate barrier-breaker who destroys limitations and opens doors that no one can shut. He encouraged believers to expect divine favour, restored opportunities, supernatural promotion, and international influence. Referring to the symbolism of the eighth month, he declared a season of fresh beginnings, restoration, and accelerated progress over the congregation.
Conclusion

Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo concluded by releasing twenty-five prophetic declarations over the congregation, praying for healing, restoration, open doors, financial breakthroughs, family healing, ministry advancement, and divine favour. His central message remained unmistakable: God is unstoppable, and those who trust Him can confidently face every challenge knowing that His purposes will prevail. As he reminded the congregation, “The battle is not determined by the size of your enemy; it is determined by the size of your God.”
